Thanks DH.
PS, that was then, this is now.

I passed on deer that were as big and maybe even a tad bigger last year. I ended up buckless, which is ok. Not two years in a row though. Quite honestly this buck looks quit a bit different than my other eight. Stickers, starting to palmate, and a bit heavier. Done deal in the split second of thought to shoot, or not shoot.

I would be happy to help Robin. Keith still has my phone #. Give me a holler.
I can't wait to see Robin and 2B walking through the woods together packing 2 stands and 40 screw in steps a piece so they can 20 feet in the air.

I know all about those split second decisions. I can tell you that I was waffling when I first saw the good buck I saw on Saturday. Then, I was able to size him up relative to the 8 pointer that walked right underneath me. At that time, I knew he was a very good deer. Closest he got was 60 yards. With the haze and fog, I was sure second guessing myself. I wish you guys could have seen this 4 pointer though. Absolute monster deer with a big 4 point rack. I tried to get a picture of these deer on my new digital camera but I wasn't sure how to use it yet. I'm ready for round 2. I'll get some good pics I hope.Live the American dream? Congrats 2B. I'm still up here pining away for the Indiana Archery opener. On the upswing, we can legally take up to 8 deer in my county this year. Thank you insurance company political lobby.

@ Keith. Guess you know about us short legged mofo's and having to put those screw in steps pretty close.
Thanks Chico

2B what is with all of the stuff you were spouting through the year about passing on certain bucks that didnt meet your criteria? Congrats, on your buck anyway....Im going to wait until it gets cooler down here to get out in the woods. It is supposed to be around 95 here and a heat index of around 105....I needs some cool air...
