100 Grain 3 Blade Muzzy's.

I can get a 3 pack of em for $15 at any wally world in the state. And every single deer that I have shot at with one died within minutes. If it ain't broke - don't fix it.

But it was a long time ago, and it was just that one day.

I shot Thunderheads for years and loved them, however, I hunt an area where my chances at turkeys are pretty frequent, and I like to have one head for all game. I like the typical larger cutting diameter I can get out of a good expandible, so I switched for the last month of season last year. I went with the NAP scorpion. I love the cut on contact tip and the ease with which the blades open. I have yet to see what they do on a deer, but the turkey I killed in January had an entrace hole the size of a half dollar and he only went 10 yards before dumping over in the snow. I have shot the bejesus out of one of those heads into different materials, and have yet to have a failure to open. Good penetration, easy to open, flies like a field point, I am impressed.

Muzzy 125 gr 4 bld or 3 bld, whichever feels good to me that day. Both fly the same for me.

MOC, are you talking 35 yards as in 105 feet, or was it a suburban hunt where the deer ran across 35 yards? After re-reading your post...did you run out of blood after 35 yards, and then have to do a grid search for your deer? I think someone needs to call bullchit on this.

Thanks for clearing that up. I`m pretty sure that someone needs to call bullchit though.

MOCraig, I've killed more deer with my bow than you have. As a matter of fact, I could quit bowhunting for 3 years, and you still wouldn't shoot more deer than I have with a bow.

I've killed more with my bow than anyone else has killed with my bow.
