There are 2 things positive about this buck 2B. 1) My wife is happy that I can take my daughter to the babysitter and pick her up in the evening as she cannot even drive as of yet, 2) It was the same deer as previously mentioned. I had convinced myself of that deer's possible survival. I was right.

The negative thing. It is a bonafied 120" sammich. My guess is that it will net in the high teens.

Smitty.

I just think some day Field & Stream or somebody is going to want to do some big documentary on you and you won't have magazine quality photos for the big layout. Take a look in our gallery at some of the pictures of Tony posing with his deer. He is good about taking good pictures.

You are right, I don't want to hear about Dan Judys....I saw 7 different bucks this weekend but if you add all their antler length together you wouldn't come up with 100 inches. I had the same experience last year up north at this time. Robin and Larry were seeing some good bucks though so I guess I was just in the wrong spot.

BTW- You arrows are done! Looking good!

I darn near spit Hawaiian Punch all over the screen on that one. BTW, thanks for the arrows. My buddy Jeff came over all worried on Saturday morning about Dan moving the cows over on his side of the road. So, I told him to go move my stand and put it in the same tree I had it in last year and hunt there. He killed a big 10 pointer last night at 3:40.

Good deal. I wish I had about 3 of me so I could hunt all the spots I want to hunt during the rut.

170: Thanks. I was just telling a guy this; I told him that if I would have had a rifle in my hands the day that I shot him first, I would not have even thought of shooting that deer. Now, if I would have had a rifle in my hands this past Friday, I probably would have shot based upon the sheer height of the G2s and G3s and been terribly disappointed. I think the deer had lost a lot of weight in those 2 weeks, but I'm still convinced that he is 2.5 years old just based upon the size of his head. Hopefully, I can still whack a good one with a bow. Maybe even this coming weekend.

I took my Dad hunting over last week. I have not been getting in the stand but decided to go sit one evening to do some " Scouting " I did have my bow in hand to take a doe I suppose. Had a real nice 10, wide tall, and bigger than anything I have on the wall present shots in 4 different shooting lanes. He hung around for about 20 minutes making scrapes. I would grunt and that would piss him off something fierce. It was fun as heck. I tried to get Dad ( up from Florida for the rut ) on him the next couple nights. He radioed me Saturday evening and told me he finally got the " Big One " I was talking about. I was real excited for him. I got down their and help him blood trail the buck. I got up to him and he had a real pretty racked, basket racked 8. I just told him that it was real dandy of a buck and took some pics for him. It was his first buck and was happy as heck to get him. I didn't have the heart to tell him it was not the big one.

There isn't anything funny about that. heck, I have shot at the same deer twice this year and hit him bad both shots. At least your dad can put one behind the shoulder.

Hey man. Even a blind sow finds an acorn every now and again. I thought pigs couldn't eat acorns. This is the way I've always heard that saying told though.
