Gun Fellas-- Please Help
I have a:
Browning BAR .270 rifle-probably 25 years old. I believe it was the last year model to be made in Belgium before being made in the USA. Still in great shape.
I have a Remington 870 12 guage..modified chokes.shoots 2 3/4 mags. Good shape.
I have a Remington Model 700 ML 54. cal Blk Synth stock with SS barrel. Probably hasn't been shot more than 30 times. Like new.
I am considering selling all 3 of them. I have no idea what they are worth. I have been told the Browning BAR may be a collectors item?? Can any of you give me your thoughts on what they are worth?

gunbroker.com
List the serial #'s of the guns (leave the last 3 numbers as xxx) and that should give you a decent idea.
Are these extra guns, or are you just getting rid of all of your guns?
MOC-depending on what shape the 25yr old BAR is, you might want to look at something newer. A BAR is a solid choice though.

Re: Gun Fellas-- Please Help
On gunbroker.com is there a place to find what your guns are worth without listing them for sale 1st?

Do a search for similar firearms, and you'll have an idea on prices.

Are you going to take that extra cash and buy yourself a Bowtech? That new Tribute is sweet, with a capital swee.

One day, long, long ago, there lived a woman who did not whine, nag, or bitch.
But it was a long time ago, and it was just that one day.

170: I'm considering a new bow and I'm thinking Bowtech. Is the Tribute a 2006 model?

I'm still leaning toward the Allegiance due to a 34" A to A length.

Dave, I can't find place where you can type in a serial #. There is a place where you can submit an appraisel request but they want pictures and stuff. I will have to do that some other time if I go that route. I don't have the time for that today.

Re: Gun Fellas-- Please Help
Sorry it wasn't more help.
I gave the advice about serial #'s because I've seen folks post the full number with model on the net, and it wouldn't take an idiot to take down the info, and report it stolen from them, etc.
Also if you want full price for the guns, don't sell them to a dealer. They will try to make money on the deal and will low-ball you. If you take your time and sell person to person, you will be able to get a better deal for yourself, and for the buyer. The down side is you have to hold onto the things until you have a serious buyer.

Re: Gun Fellas-- Please Help
Depending on the condition of the BAR, and manufacturing details, it could be anywhere from <$600 for a working gun to $800+ for a collector.

Ignore Craig, he talks chit. He doesn?t want a .270. He practically humps his .280 on a nightly basis.
I too would be interested in the BAR. Not to mention I?m conveniently located in Arnold.
Any optics on the BAR?
I have a gun Blue Book at home. I should be able to look those up for you this weekend between hunting and stuffing my face.
Send me a PM/Email with the following for each:
-Model
-Caliber
-Serial #'s
-Condition, expressed as percentage
-Any features that make them unique in design, i.e ribbed barrel, gold triggers, engraving. (unique options can be endless and I won't know exactly what the book will list until I look up your specific model and caliber)
100% - new in box
97% - Gun has been shot, original box available and literature available, zero visible defects or surface degradation.
95% - Gun has been shot, zero visible defects or surface degradation
90% - Minor wear from normal use, Gun ?Bluing? at least 90% of new
Etc?
FYI?your ML won?t be listed. I won?t give my opinion so to not influence your potential sell price.
almost forgot....Optics do not retain resale like the gun itself. Typically a gun shop won't give a penny for a used scope. Maybe, if it's Leupold or a high dollar European scope but the offers will still be well below retail.
