Ok - I'll show you how it's done, 170. PS will be there to help with the dragging, gutting, etc.

Just follow my advice boys. I know this urban hunting chit, and if you follow what I said word for word, you can't hardly fork it up. I could come and be a tutor though, this one time. Image Image

What are you talking about 170? You've got the AimLow crew already doing that for you. Word has it the locals are already trying to run them out of dodge.

I'm 1 for 1 on IL deer. I'll be damned if I'm gonna pass a 130" deer only having a single week to hunt.

heck, I'm 2 for 2. I killed a doe as well.

Is there a licking branch on that mock scrape? I don't see one.

Them city deer are dumb. This ought to be a no brainer. Plant a couple hausta's under the stand and kill him over it the next day. If you want a real challenge and provide any kind of integrity to your kill. The buck must be an Open Country buck.

170 - You won't have to worry about me killing a sammich buck, since there aren't any sammich bucks in Illinois, right?

Dave-t: I was wondering the same thing. But, I found a huge scrape right out in the middle of the timber with no overhanging branch just this year. It was well used too.

2B: There at my in-laws house, you could kill does everyday. They come through at the same time and it isn't uncommon to see more than 10 in a group. But, the bucks are a bit more ellusive.

That`s right, Flake. I`m surprised every doe doesn`t die when she is giving birth. IL buck fawns are born with P&Y racks. Image

170: I'm beginning to believe what you say about that. If not, the bucks sure thing they are big. I swear to you the day I killed that IL buck there was this 6 pointer that rubbed a tree 15" in circumference right in front of me. I was like, "What the heck is going on here?".

I could stand in for Keith@aimlow. My shooting prowess on the sammich 9 pointer makes that a good fit.

There ain't no room for gut shots in that place, so you are out PS. Image

I haven't shot and lost a buck since 2000, and that buck was found and claimed by someone else and is on his wall. I hit that buck exactly where I wanted, I just didn't get an exit so a poor blood trail was the result.

I will be glad for either of us to get him. Anyone that has hunted with me knows I am just as happy when someone else kills something than f I killed it myself.

If that's the case then Robin will end up killing it. I'd fight tooth and nail to be the shooter on that deer.
