For me, one forked up season...

Post by fish » December 5th, 2005, 5:53 pm

Image Image Ok I know I'm whining an beatching here but I had the most screwed up deer season this year that I've had in the last ten !!! Never laid eyes on a shooter all rifle season while every one else on the flease was stacking them up, missed a running 140"+ during ML season which Bro kilt with a bow the next morning. The last Sunday morning of ML season I decided to shoot the first buck I saw, which I did, right thru the tenderloins, and watched him run into the next county.

Anywho, the nutz and bolts of it, there will be some slickhead in real trouble (or maybe not the way my luck has been)come this Saturday Image

I hear your brother has had one heck of a season Fish. Including a 160" monster that he found dead. Word has it that the bowkill was 144".

Smitty - All is true. Image

Me an him was looking for a wounded up doe when he found the rack. A career year for him is what I say. Me... I found a 3pt shed all chewed up by mice.

The 174" pig, then finding the rack, then the 144" bow kill yes I'd say he had a good year. the little chit lives over there tho for the most part.Me ...I'm eating my liver out to change places with him.

fish - asking...what is the best binoculars for bird watching??? Image Image Image Image Image

and what is going on over at the CC ??? Image

Fish: What was the ML kill. I figure you won't get this posted till next week as you'll be over around Woolridge this weekend. BTW, this is the first I have heard of you being frustrated enough to whack does. Word has it that folks are whacking every deer they see down in those river bottoms these days.

They may be wacking them in some places in the bottoms but there hasn't been much shooting around us except on the COE land. Theres plenty to go around tho. Image

One thing that is saving that area is the fact that noone wants to haul a deer 2 miles to the nearest parking area. There have always been a few deer around that area.
