Deer Slayer 1992-2005

Post by Swamp_Fox » December 16th, 2005, 11:56 am

Deer friend and long time companion.
Reliable in all weathers.

Go easy into that great goodnight and rise again, new in body and soul.

Deer Slayer from here was older than 13. I'm assuming it's Swampy's dog.

I didn't mean to upset everyone.
The deer slayer killed 7 deer in 4 years and damaged an unknown number beyond that.
It was my 1992 F-150.
330K miles and reverse went out.
Sold it ot a young man (15) for $50. Threw in all the new parts I hadn't put on yet.
He intend to have it on the road by his 16th birthday. (With his Daddys help.)

7 in 4 years! That's better than half the deer hunters I know.

I gave him more in parts than he paid for the truck.

But....

I think it needs striped to the chassie. The front clip and the drivers door need some serious work. It's starting to rust around the rear wheels and there is alot of electrical work to do.

The boy will know more about autos than most of us when he gets done.

I bought a truck like that one time and learned a ton about truck. You could pee through the floor while driving on long hunting trips. If you weren't careful you could also fall through the floor.
