Rich? Do you drink beer too? Your starting to sound like your qualified to be a partner.
How would you like a round house kick to the face while I'm wearing these bad boys?

Just give me one week. In fact, I'll make it during MO's gun season for 6 straight hunting days.

PS - You're low bidder, back off. Plus you'll be needing to pay for a new house by then, so you'll have priorities to tend to elsewhere.

This year is out anyway. I have a preference point in Iowa and already have access to thousands of acres for a late season ML. They killed a 162" last week.

When can I come over and scout the farm?

Then we can go and check out 170's farm too.

Lets all go to 170's place for a massive shed hunt on the weekend after Superbowl. He's providing the beer and lodging too.

I`ll provide the lodging if you nutjobs don`t mind sleeping on the floor, but I ain`t supplying booze for you bunch of lushes. I know a place down by Rend Lake that should be loaded with big sheds. Don`t pay any attention to those "Wildlife Refuge" signs though. I`m pretty sure they don`t apply to MO residents.

Now for the good news...a friend of mine asked me today if I would hunt on his 80 acres next year. It seems that he will be busy building a new house starting in October. I asked him if he would mind twisting my arm just a little first. It`s a pretty good piece of ground, with some even better land surrounding it. He killed a 157"er there a couple of years ago. He was a little pissed that another friend of his killed a 135"er there a week, or two, ago. He says that if it ain`t big enough for you to mount, then just shoot a doe. I`m already looking forward to next fall.

170: Somehow I feel that you are the ringleader of the local IL section of "Let's Run AimLow out of IL for Killing our 120-130 Deer". Say it isn't so.

darn, 170. Your getting as good of deal as I'm getting or better. I won't get on here and crow too much any more, cause some jackleg always has to out do me.
Now about this shed hunt at your place...Lets push it back to the end of February and start saving up for at least some Natural Lite.

It isn`t so, but thanks for thinking that I have that kind of power.

Bloodtrail,

My original offer is as good as I can do. Check the IL section of the Post Dispatch today, and you`ll probably see where my employer announced a wage/benefit cut yesterday. You`ll have to BYOB, and pay for any damages to my place too. Image

ImageI'm not buying it.

170: There is a taxidermy studio NW of here with sheds stacked from floor to ceiling. The posts around the shop look pretty cool as they are wrapped in sheds. Most of them came off of Swan Lake NWR. I think it was before all of this hype about taking stuff off of federal land. Back in the 80s, noone thought twice about it.

A friend of a friend farms that Rend Lake Refuge ground. He has to leave some of the crops unharvested, and he can`t take anything (sheds included) from the property. There are some absolute giants in that refuge.

Unfortunately, watching a bunch of 120-130 deer walk by and maybe getting 1 or 2 150"+ from a far on film isn't very entertaining video.
