PS`s 160

Post by hunting170 » January 25th, 2006, 10:53 am

Here you go Moneybags. You might as well book a hunt here, and see if you can find your elusive 160. Take MOCraig with you. You guys can make fun of the 1/4 million dollar homes that you see on the drive out. For dave`s sake, leave him at home.

I'll get my 160+ hunting free range deer. No need to waste money buying one, when really it's just a matter of time before it happens.

I don't make fun of 100k homes. I'm fine with anything. In fact, I'd be happy in a doublewide ifn' it sat on 640 acres. As far as the 160 goes, I hope to see him in Iowa this fall. At least then I can say I have actually seen one.

PS, you might be ok with a double wide but you'd prolly be single and paying alimony to do it.

I'm surprised you've never seen what you would estimate to be a 160+. Is that during hunting season, or just in the wild anywhere?

I've seen one or two that I would guess to be B&C. Both of them were seen while I was driving. Both were seen during Nov, one was a mile or so from my house, and the other was on the way to deer camp up north, both were seen at mid-day.

Dave-t: I have some on video that I think would be 160" that I got driving around. I thought I may have seen something very near that in IL. I think a couple times in MO as well. But, I want to see one at 50 yards or closer so that my blood gets to boiling. PS

I've never been that close either.

I saw a rack in '03 bashing through a weed field at 11am on Longview Lake property. I was driving and the buck was over 250-300yds away. That rack stood out like a freakin' billboard. Huge huge rack, and it was before they had the first draw hunt on that property.

Well, I had one this year that was standing at 25 yards that was at least high 140s as an 8 pointer. If it were a 10 pointer, high 150s for sure.

I had one in the 160's (I'm guessing) run by me doing mach 10 this year. He was probably only 17 yds from me but he was as Smitty says. "Digging for Arkansas".

I had one that was probably around 120", but we will call it 160 for the heck of it.

Craig: That wasn't even remotely funny. I didn't even crack a grin. Are you losing your mojo or what?
