New Remington rifles

Post by Warmouth » February 22nd, 2006, 12:02 pm

Rem has re-worked the Mauser 98, and will be offering a controlled round feed action. This is really a surprise comming from Big Green.
The Rem M798 long action.

They will also offer the 799 in short action.

The M750

This will replace the 742/7400 semi-auto.

Damm, that 798 would be sweet. I'll go check out the website to see what calibers they're offering.

I wouldn't own a 7400. Maybe the 750 will be better.

The 740 series rifles are junk imo.

The 760's though are some of the most accurate non-bolt guns around.

I've never liked the m700. I've owned a couple, and shot a lot of them in various spec.s, but I wouldn't trade any one of my rifles for 3 m700's.

the mauser rifle is the same one Charles Daly was importing. Remington swung a better deal with the mfr. and C.D. lost their contract. only dif. is remingtons will cost more.

That is according to C.D. and cost is 10% more.
