Jerking around

Post by Jig Man » February 24th, 2006, 10:14 am

There has been a fair jerk bait bite on Stockton and upper Table Rock. I am assuming that it is happening all over. Right?

Any size to them there keepers Triton? I'm fishing the Children's Miracle tourney out of Robin's Resort on 4/1. It is looking very iffy that I'll get to pre-fish it though...

Had 1 that was pro 4 1/2 or so and a couple of solid keepers is all....It was a pretty slow day....

When you fish that down there at that time tie on a senko on 8 or 10 lb test and go into small pockets and throw it around boat docks or laydowns and all of a sudden the senko will take off.....I have caught a lot of fish up there doing that at that time of year.

It'll be interesting to see what the weather does between now and then. Could be the tail end of the jerk bait bite if it stays cold. If it warms, it could be a wart or blade bite. Prolly won't get warm enough for the carolina rigged 'zard bite to be on. I like to power fish so I'd love to have it be a blade bite. Put the TM on high and cover water! Image Image

I fished Lake Jacomo (aka The Jake) with a buddy yesterday afternoon for about 4 hours. We only fished jerkbaits and in that four hours he caught 5 largemouth and a white bass and I caught 4 largemouth. Included in his 5 green fish was a beautiful 6 pounder (as weighed on a digital scale). The weather was perfect and the beer was very cold! Image It was a great day right up until I got home and my 11 year old started puking!! Image

Hope the kid gets better.
