Toby,

We are going to Jamaica in June as well. What are the dates and which resort are you going to?

I stayed at the Holiday Inn Sunspree in Montego Bay a few years back. All-inclusive. But, I think if I were going back, I'd go to Negril. But, that is further away from Dunns River Falls and I think that is a must-see.

I was wondering what nude beach he was going to be "hanging" at.

I think over around Negril there are plenty. Those Hedonism places are over there I think.

PS: In Montego Bay you gotta hear planes coming and going all the time. We have only stayed at Sandals. Try Sandals Whitehouse... it's on the southern coast... the beach was a mile long and VERY private. Image The resort is huge and has awesome snorkeling and scuba.

We are going to be at Ocho Rios. I don't know one place from another...this will be my 1st trip out of the US in my life. I'm not much of a beach person but I'm going to suck it up for the family and make the most of it. The nude beach could help speed the week up a bit though.

We've been to Ochos Rios. It's nice! It was a younger crowd and actually more fun. It's close to Dunn's River Falls also. Have a great time! Drink the rum... drink lots of the rum!!! Image

I would also suggest going out on as many sight seeing trips and activities as you can. We didn't like some of the places we went because of panhandlers, but over all the activities were great.

Good deal! What is a good rum drink? I don't stray much from beer usually. I love Long Island Teas though. Thanks for the advice guys. I'm glad to hear from someone I actually know that the resort is good. I hear all these nightmare stories about various resorts and it makes you a little nervous when you are cutting loose of so much $$$$$. Anymore advice is welcome, like I said, I'm a rookie. Did you guys play any golf? I was wondering if it is worth the effort to take my clubs.

There are some excellent courses there, but I don't golf.

Coconut rum and coke is hard to beat. Ask for the good stuff if you are at an all inclusive place.

Ok..yeah it's all inclusive. What time of year did you guys go? And was the beach crowded. I have been told somedays you have to get up early to get a spot on the beach...is it really that crowded?

I'll tell you this Keith@aimlow, you will love the drive from Montego Bay to Ocho Rios. Those bastages are fornicating scary the way they drive. Rum punch is about as good as it gets. Just sit out on the beach and let them bring it to you. You'll like Dunn's River Falls just because it a unique place. Plus, the eye candy is nice.

If you are staying at Sandals, make reservations for dinner as soon as you get there. The slots fill up rather quickly and the Italian place was very good. We haven't been back there since they remodeled the resort though. There may be a lot more. Take the resort tour and get your bearings.

I like the coconut rum with everything... they have some kick azz banana drinks too though. We made friends with a bartender one night and got plowed! Although the Red Stripe ain't bad.

We didn't play golf, but a few people we met did. They said the course was nice.

See... I would suggest staying on the resort and not doing much sight seeing trips. You'll see plenty on the bus from the airport and get panhandled enough at Dunn's River Falls. If the wife likes to barter,though... it's heaven. Image

This is where we are staying:
RIU

My wife will love the bartering bit. She is really into jewelry and exotic things. I am looking forward to the rum drinks and as PS puts it, the "eye candy".

Your daughter and Lark will probably wish to get their hair braided too.
