I grew up on a real farm in Iowa and not one these missouri garden farms. Our chickens would sit on the eggs, we didnt set the chickens on the eggs.
Dont sweat the petty things and dont pet the sweaty things.

By the way Snowy them are pigeons you have and not chickens.
