Started early this year !!

Had a hayfield about halfway knocked down last night and heard a thunk. Killed a fawn. Image Made me sick. There were deer beds all in the field, and I was watching but the little fellers are hard to see in waist high grass. Dang buzzards were on it before I finished it will probably be gone by today. Hate it !!!! Image

That sucks, but not much you can do about it.

Should have had some vealison! Sorry about the loss though. One thing that stinks about haying season, it is typically in fawn season as well.

Yep, and if you try to cut in early May you'll run into turkey nest. Image

Saw a little spotted fawn hit outside of town this morning. It's just outside the 35 mph zone, sure seems somebody might have tried a little harder to avoid it. Image

Saw the neatest thing this morning as I was fishing on Table Rock....A doe had started swimming across the lake and finally made it after swimming for about half a mile....Man those things can flat swim at a fast speed too.l

I've watched 'em swim the Miss. on several occasions. Those big islands out there are 8 the fork up with deer. Image
