About 6:15 this morning I was watching 5 bucks running and playing around for 30-40 minutes. The dang things were acting crazy. One kept jumping up at a willow and raking his head on the hanging leaves. I mean he was jumping 6-8' up into the dang tree. I've never seen or heard anything like it. The others were chasing each other around in the cattails around the pond and in the open field. Hopping, kicking, and chasing.
Has anyone seen bucks with shed velvet yet? I couldn't tell if the one was trying to rub or just climb the darn tree. Really strange stuff, but cool to watch.

All the ones I have seen this week are in full velvet. They were definitely moving today.
