Anyone killed any deer yet?

Post by Warmouth » September 25th, 2006, 11:53 am

I had a chance at some does last night, but passed. Then the wind shifted, and I tried to leave before getting busted, but the deer came while I was leaving, and got busted anyway. Image

F%%% no. The day before opening day I had some dental work done and couldnt get out over the weekend. This weekend I ate something bad at Taco Bell thursday and was sick until saturday night. Sunday I went out but the lady that owns the place, her nephew was going to go squirrel hunting and I will not be in the same area he is in. Last year I ran into him out there and told him were I would be. He said he would not get near me but 45 minutes later he's about 100 yards from me shooting his rifle in my direction. Plus he tromps around with his work boots(He's a roofer) and clothes and throws his cig. butts all over the place. Now I know why I havent seen poopoo in the last couple of years. Him and his brother are the two biggest goofs around. Time to hunt somewere else.

Warmouth, you are being way too generous. Image
could be the number of excuses he could come up with as to why he didnt shoot anything.

2 might have been all he could find. Image

I tell ya though, I hate changing winds and then getting busted while trying to do the right thing by moving out, and trying not to get busted. Image I should have just sat there and hoped for the best I guess. Image

Did it get close enough to shoot it?

GoGop, yeah he did get to around 15-20 yards away but he was moving at a fairly good trot and when he came across where I had come in, he did a 180 and took off. Funny thing was he never did get out of his trot. Image

I hit one last spring, and I think they should count double or triple. Those are the expensive deer.

That's no lie they are running on the highway by my house here lately and there have been 3 killed in the past two days within 100 yards of one another.

fishin, you should move the deer crossing signs in another direction and then they'll all get kilt up there.
