a mixed bag in brush creek

Post by bwillaub » April 18th, 2004, 11:39 am

caught 6 keeper black bass (largemouths), limit of crappies, and found a school of white bass way up the creek by foot. had a blast catching them in about 3 feet of water. could watch them take the bait the water was so clear. spent about an hour watching a nesting pair of bald eagles......now that is "PRICELESS".

by the way.....released all the bucketmouths.

good fishin to ya all
a bad day on the water is still better than not being there at all.

Sounds like you had a really enjoyable day. I bet the wind didn't bother you that much way up the vreek, did it?

it was windy?? Image the wind had already almost blown me off truman earlier. took the boat home, drove back down, and walked my way in. had a blast!!! talked to a friend last night and he told me the crappies are starting to come to the banks. he caught a limit in about an hour and a half fishing a foot down and a foot or two from shore. couldn't make em hit jigs tho. caught them all on minnows. go figure. i guess i'll have to hit it hard this week.
