I don't have a .22, so that is also a strike against me.

Dave: Here is the deal. When I was a poor graduate student, I had a really nice Ruger 10/22 with a scope on it. Man I did a lot of squirrel hunting with it and loved it. One year, I couldn't afford to get my dad a nice camouflage jacket for Christmas. So, I sold the gun so I could get him the jacket. I never have purchase another although I keep intending to do so. Buying land and homes has gotten in the way of a few of the necessities in life. That, and I am a tight-donkey.

I'm glad I bought mine when I did, or it would probably be a "plan to in the future" type thing. Who knows when I'll get my next gun fix.

I sold my childhood .22 in college as well. Got totally screwed on the deal. $25. Image

My wife had me on an outdoor organizing binge yesterday. I mean labels, plastic containers, and everything. I am glad we got things where I can find them but dayum I hated the whole experience. I picked up the old 10/22 and wondered why I haven't sold it. My daughter at age 11 is more interested in dance, and prefers the Mark II when she does shoot. I guess I should keep it.

True story LA. True story. I had a pair of tennis shoes back then that had half the sole detached. I couldn't even afford shoe-goo to fix them. When I became a post-doc, that is the first thing I purchased. Second was a new truck.

What's killing me is he had the choice between shoe goo and a .22 and he chose the shoe goo! WTF!

You should have used duct tape.

But it was a long time ago, and it was just that one day.
