Has anyone been watching any of this WWII documentary on PBS? I caught some of it last night. Impressive.

Sorry to hear it, Craig. It will be on every Tuesday night... different stories each week. It's not like others I have seen. It's former soldiers and gunners telling their stories. I enjoyed it.

I watched it Tuesday night. It was very impressive. I've said before that nothing brings tears to my eyes faster than old soldiers telling war stories. My favorite was the old man in Mobile, AL that felt helpless watching the wounded being carried past him, so he went to medical school upon returning home. We're losing our WW2 veterans quickly.

I would have to agree that they were the greatest generation.

They were a great generation no doubt, they were not alone in the fight for freedom, many men and women lost their lives for that cause then, WWI, Korea, Vietnam and today. God bless them all who gave everything and, protect all who are giving now.
