I'm saying that deer is 100% Coues deer. It looks to be a fawn buck with an 8 point rack. I don't know what kind of brush that is in the background, but I'm going to say mesquite. That picture was taken somewhere in AZ. I'd whack him.

Oh, and I have bigger deer than that right beside my house. No need to road hunt him.

I didn't think coues deer had the white patch at their throat.

I don't know LA. They are called coues whitetails. Don't know about their throatpatch though. Did Dave shoot that deer?

They can have the throat patch, but it's not as obvious as other sub-species. I don't think that's a Coues, but it definitely looks to be in higher elevations of the Southwest US, judging by the vegetation.

Sonofabich. I could have whacked deer last night instead of farting around. Image

If there was a doe with him, I would shoot the doe and see what the buck did. He is legal anywhere in the State. If I had two tags, he would be dead next if he wasn't smart enough to run away.

Sorry if that isn't how you folks play the game, but I already got ducks and pictures on the wall - don't need a deer head unless it happens out of luck Image

Dabs... you all still looking for a country place to live? The house next door is still for sale. Lots of places for sale out here actually.

How many bedrooms? We are still looking, but I am fighting a 13 year old tooth and nail about staying in the same school district - he doesn't want to leave his friends.

LA-mowing the yard and cussing at the mower.

Also, you need to watch who we invite to move in next door. Noisey duck hunters aren't on the list. Image

Tell that kid he can make friends with the woods and rocks out here.
