That is really strange. We had one of our best years ever on the farm down in Pulaski Co. We had 5 guys hunting both weekends, and we saw a total of 12 different bucks, which for that place, which is exceptional for down there. Of those 12, 8 were 2.5 years of age or older, which is even more impressive. A large portion of them were chasing does. 3 of them ended up falling to bullets, but the rest are still walking, including a big mainframe 12 that one of the guys missed Sunday morning. I saw a nice 1/2 racked 8 Saturday morning, and 3 different 8's Sunday morning, one was pretty dang good, but I couldn't get a shot. Because of dealing with deer and stuff, we only hunted mornings.

Gotta be one of the worst seasons that I can remember. Not only did the deer population look bleak, our turkey population is suffering also. Well usually hold anywhere from 100 to 200 birds during the fall. This year I seen a grand total of 6.

Can't remember a year that I didn't see at least two shooter bucks (150+) on our farm. This year, zilch. Lots of culls.

I just checked the MDC website and they are reporting a higher harvest number this year then last year. Doesn't make sense.
