Food fest

Let me say this. I have no desire to turn what was a weekend of cooking / eating / drinking / fishing / playing washers, and sittin' on my ass in the shade, into a weekend in a boat, on a crowded lake chasing catfish jugs. For me, that ain't what it's about.

That, my friends, is a completely different kind of trip.

Y'all do what you want, but I ain't goin' to Truman. ( At least not for the annual Hoedown ) I talked to C & C earlier this evening, he won't go either.

Either / neither of us refusing to go isn't exactly a threat, it's just the way it is.

I can appreciate the less than ideal travel distances the extreme west siders have to contend with. Diggs ain't exactly in the middle of the state. But, last year I tried to find a site that was more centrally located, and had the needed amenities. The pickins were slim.

If someone can produce a spot that has : A group camping area that can be reserved , some overhead shelter, and a fishable body of water nearby ( like, walking distance, ) please spill the beans.

The only other sites in centeral Mo with a pavilion, camping, lake and restroom facilities had a 10:00 curfew of one sort or another. Can't do anything that might wake the neighbors.

That probably won't work with our crew unless there are good lawn chairs to sleep in.

I've been whatchin' this chit now for awhile cuz I could get logged in, but I have found a work around.

Rainbow - Who forkin gives a flying rip if it's "convienent" for the women folk. To quote you "reach down and give the boys a squeeze" and remember what gender you are.

DMR - You and C&C are wise. This ain't about fishin' except that maybe some fish will get ate........along with a bunch of other critters.

Snowflake - When you show up to one of these, you can vote on it.

Westsiders in General - The only ones to show up to anything is Lady Angler and her mangina. If you all have a better idea, post up, otherwise STFU.
