DMR is a damn good cook. There is no doubt about it. I used to be scared of his wirey ass. But, I think I could take him these days.

DMR is the type to wait until you're asleep, then pee in your boot, then wake you up by peeing in your ear, so that when you get up to chase him, you put on the boot, and are already way behind the eight ball. I guess what I'm say is, he knows how to plan. There's no defense for that chit.

First of all, I ain't no damn headliner.

I like to eat, no two ways about it. But you can't always count on someone else being there to cook for you, So, I decided to learn how to cook a few thing myself.

I've eaten a pile of killer vittles at past hoedowns, and I cooked only a small fraction of 'em. There's some serious culinary talent at these little get togethers.

TH,

Read my previous post ! You find a centrally located site. I'm all ears.

LA,

You forgot X-Bow Tom, and C&C's son. Hell my wife and her friend even spent part of Sat. there last year.

It's always good to see you and Dave, and I have yet to meet TH, but would be happy to do so. My point is............. there's alot more of us over here than Westsiders that would like to attend. Or, am I overlooking some folks ?

Hi DMR-

I mentioned Rudolf Bennit- is there something I'm missing about the place (camping, big lake, etc.). I've never been there so can't be for sure but it lists camping and the lake.

Also, isn't there group camping at Rocky Forks CA? I guess maybe I am thinking about the adjacent State park.

I know that if you go much further north or east of those and you might as well go to Diggs.

I have other ideas that aren't on Truman but are probably a bit far west to be fair to Eastsiders who make up a big part of the attendance at these things.

TH - Another must have is a covered pavilion, which I believe Rocky Forks lacks. Don't know about the other one you mentioned.

Westsiders - I ain't scared of travelin to eat and drink with degenerants, but the group camping and covered pavillion are pretty important.

I guess I'm starting to lean towards ODF's position.....in the grand scheme of things people either will show up or not and changing the location seems like a big clusterfork. Moving the location 45 minutes one way or another probably isn't going to change that.

It'd be nice to have it a little more centrally located and better fishing access.....but since Diggs seems to have the necessities (group camping, covered pavilion and decent possum cops  ) beggars can't be choosy.

Hey, I have no problem driving another hour West. Especially if it means that more of you Westies will show.

It really comes down to how badly you would like to meet and party with the folks from this site. I'm proud to say that I have some good friends due to my showing up at these events. That wouldn't have happenned if I was content to just b.s. on a 'puter.
