Dingo Dog 1993 - 2007

My beloved dog of 14 years, a pit-chow mix, went to eternal rest this weekend. My little man was there for me through most my adult life. His name, Dingo Dog, was coined by the little girl who gave him to me in 1993. He was a loved dog and will be missed.

BB - Sorry to hear about that. It's tough losing a good dog, trusted friend and family pet. My day is coming in the not too distant future. Truman (named after MU mascot) is a rescue case from the streets of Springfield when I lived down there. He's a Brittany/Cocker mixed and turned 15 this summer. His days are numbered. Arthritis is getting him down and he's starting to show some other ailments. Doesn't seem to be in pain, so he's still getting the pampered life. At the point he's showing he's not living the good life any more, I'll do what I have to so he don't suffer. I know the day is coming, but it sure doesn't make it any easier.

I gots a shepherd/collie/?? mix that is 13yrs old. That's gettin up there for a big dog (80lbs or so). He's about half blind and mostly deaf, and starting to show his arthritis... especially when he gets up after layin down for awhile. He was rescuee from the Wal-Mart parkin lot down in Neosho. Been the smartest, bestest dog ever... man it's gonna suck to loose him.

I guess what I'm sayin is... you gots my fullest sympathies BB.

Thanks guys. I have one old dog left. She is one of Dingo's daughters from a wild night he had with a neighbor's German Shepherd, 11 years back. She is taking aging a little harder, on injections for her arthritis, but still fighting the good fight. It's like you said Swamp, good dogs just don't live long enough.



It was one of the last fighting arguments with my x-wife, 10 years ago. She gave me the ultimatum of her or the dogs... I figured a crappy wife was easy enough to come by, so I took my chances with two good dogs. I can honestly say that I have since lived a better life with that decision.

Well, she kept up the fight for another 2 years.

The kid is not going to take this well.
