Saturday at Bull Shoals

Finally got to check out the trolling bite near K Dock--but not for long. Got stormed off after one pass thru Snapp, K area and the marina bend. Caught just one 18" walleye and lost another pulling a Deep Jr. Tstick at 22 feet (lure normally runs 16-17 feet, but will occasionally tick bottom at 21-22 on a slow troll with a couple of good-sized split shots). After the storm, I relaunched and goofed around on the bluffs upstream, with no luck. Mainly, it was good to get out. Surface temp 82, lake was 16 feet high. Launched at Beaver. I did see 3 boats launch at K Dock, but there's not much maneuvering room there and parking is extremely limited. Getting to be a lot of gar around, but they were real spooky--not like later on when it's hard to get a crank down past 'em (or a fish up thru 'em!).
