Sorry to hear about the mishap. Hope whomever it was that they did not lose an eye.

Would have been a fine day to be out.

Hope everything is alright for the one who got hit in the eye Tim.

Got off work at 7am yesterday and off for the next three so looking for a reason to stay up. Grabbed gear and loaded up the dog. Went down to a field that MDC had disced hoping for at least one shot since I hadn't seen a single bird the two days prior while scouting, but something was telling me to at least give it a try and see what happens. Sat under a power for about 15 min's and not a single bird. Was getting ready to leave before hearing a flock of geese fly up the river. Sat and watched as they attempted to land in older disced field about 70-100 yds behind me and as they did about 100 doves lifted up off the ground . So I promptly packed it up and headed over the other field. In the next two hours I managed to shoot one box of shells and kill 7 doves Image. Got home then loaded up the boat to go kill something else and manage to kill approx 150 pounds of carp between two of us. Don't have any pics of the doves but here's one of the carp that we were guessing at over 30 pounds.

I went on the NWTF disabled Dove hunt this morning, and shot four young ones. (At Ten Mile Pond). I missed, uhhhhhhh, well, I missed more than I hit, but I had a "blast".

The dove is the symbol of peace. I refuse to shoot a dove, as it will bring you bad karma.
