rainbow- Rafe is right, I'm down here about 3 trailer houses north of Arkansas in SW Mo.

I think I've seen pics of your cabin from when you were selling your boat. Nice looking place.
I talked to an outfit down here that mills oak logs for cabins. Damm cheap on their price. He gave me a general quote on 1200 sq ft, for just the walls at $7800. D style logs.
You can send me a PM if you have pointers or things you think I may need to know. Thanks

Thanks for the PM Rafe

THaus, make sure the logs are kiln dried. D logs should have a channel on top and bottom for a masonite spline that goes between the logs. I would also use Oly log screws and not spikes, they are faster and cause less splitting. Our logs are pine and the house is 2k sq ft. We live, and hunt, there full time about 60 mi. west of St. Louis. Are you going to have open log walls or stud with knotty pine tougne covering. We have insulated stud walls inside with the pine. Good luck with it.

Snowy, I live in God's country so you must be in a ghetto or trailer park next to a church.
