Another Thanks to JimDog!

Post by ackermannsacre » February 7th, 2005, 6:57 pm

I think another round of applause is due for the JimDog for providing this site! Image

How else would 22 like minded goofs like us be able to meet and arrange a beautiful day on the water after patronizing one of our local diners for a pleasant breakfast of bisquits & gravy?

I really enjoyed meeting up with the regulars again and welcome the newcomers. Even though the the 'eyes were still a little elusive, the Kentuckies provided just enough action to keep Mrs. AA from taking a nap on my rod locker this time! Image

I say, JimDog old chap, jolly good show! (CW's been watching another one of the old 007 movies again).

Hey pd, I understand from my son that I owe you a trip in my boat. If you can ever get a Fri off let me know and you can come down and stay at the cabin and we'll give em heck for two days eat some big steaks and quaff a few cold ones.

Wow, that is too good a deal to pass up!!!

All I remember saying is how surprised I was that dear old dad and I had never fished together in all these years. Nothing that one would think about, it just had never come about.

I'd be pleased as punch, and am already looking forward to it. Thank you!

Thanks, guys. It is my pleasure...

I've to to admit - I don't mosey down this way, too often. But now that bow season is over, spring around the corner, and a trip to Taneycomo next week, my thoughts are shitfing from Image to fins.

One of these days, I am gunna get into the eyes. A friend of mine is buying a house on Bull Shoals - on the lake. I plan to make it down there more often once he gets settled in. Would love to get out on the lake with some of you guys. I have caught a few walleye - always accidentally when fishing for something else. Would love to get out and specifically target them toothy boogers.

JD...you would be welcome in any of our boats any time. There's several of us who fish together, but leave one boat at home, so getting an extra seat is no problem. If you float too far down on Taneycomo and accidentally wash over the dam, just look for some of this group floating around the rock pile.....
