LOZ 5-7
Partner and I fished from 6:30 till about 11, caught 30 male crappie, 10-13 inchers, 5-15 down over brush. Didn't hook a single female. used jig and minnows but fish were scattered, hit three brush piles that produced 7 or 8 keepers each but other than those it was on here and one there. Tightlining was best and bite lite. Bruce

Re: LOZ 5-7
I was at Truman Sat. and caught a limit of males and females 10-13" walking the bank with a long pole. The wind had them in the very backs of small coves. Fish were 2-3ft of water, and weren't hitting very hard, lots of short fish released, and quite a few keepers missed. They were hitting very light, but if you were fishing out of the wind, on a rock bank with brush, there were fish.
There was a crappie tourny going on, and there was a lot of competition just to get to the fish. At one time I had 3 boats in the same little cove I was in, they didn't seem to be having much luck, only picking up 2-3 fish per boat, and they were on the small side.

The Doctor said I should drink more whiskey. Also, I'm calling myself 'The Doctor' now.
