Breakfast Anyone !

As Mizfish said, we are asking to see if there are about 20 to 25 people who want to eat breakfast on Saturday and/or Sunday of the Stockton Tournament. The owner(Harry) has told us that he will open at 5:00 a.m. for us, plenty of time to eat and still have time to launch for the 6:30 a.m. start. The cost of the All-U-Can Eat buffet(Scrambled eggs, pork sausage patties, hash browns, fresh bacon, biscuits & gravy, butter/jelly & rolls, and coffee) is $ 7.50. Come on guys & gals, we have 10 right now and would need another 10 minimum, so get with your partner and commit IF you want to eat early. If you guys don't, then we won't. It's up to you guys on this one, but the Doc & I are in on the 10 we have already.

I guess State Park is S-O-L then. They won't take a chance on opening unless they have at least 20 people(down from 25 2 weeks ago). We tried. I am NOT going to call everyone and do the work for State Park, because they won't take a risk or chance and open early unless they have a guarantee. Maybe next year. I can probably put this on the entry forms next year as an option, but that probably won't work because just about everyone signs up late for the tournaments. Oh Well. Their Loss .

Plan B.....plenty of fresh hot coffee and some Wallyworld pastries at Team Table Rock's room Saturday morning....if we survived the get together. Marty has this distressing tendency to wake up like a zombie at 4 am...which then wakes up CW, who then makes the coffee. The local Wal Mart (soon to be famous for ratting on its customers who get arrested for possessing cold tablets and a bottle of rubbing alcohol...you boys won't believe this one) has some decent cinnamon rolls and stuff, and CW always brings along a couple dozen...way more than we need to eat. I think we will be in #8 at the marina motel. Just look for the zombie out front chain g, and an equally zombie-fied guy inside falling over the coffee pot. This in spite of the fact that Old Leaky will be in deluxe quarters in a stall at the marina and can go on short notice........
Oh yeah...one more thing: I plan on doing some looking around Wednesday and Thursday next week if anybody wants to ride along. If we get some really good arches, might even wet a hook or two. As long as the wind does not howl, CW and the Express are comfortable....if the wind picks up, all bets are off. Rain is OK, too. Lightning means a high speed run back to cover....probably Mutton Creek marina.
