Insulated Hunting Jacket

Post by PoisonSnake » July 7th, 2005, 6:35 pm

Last year I ordered the Outfitter Series from Cabelas. They had sold out of the jacket, but I did get the pants. Does anyone have any recommendations on a good jacket that is not terribly bulky? Keith@aimlow maybe? I know you have all that high dollar hunting chit. In fact, you might be able to sell me a year old product as I am sure you will be getting a new wardrobe soon.

Walmart has some good stuff you could afford. I would give you one of my good pre worn ones but you are too little to fit in it. Image

I didn't say I couldn't afford it. I am a gazillionaire. I just don't like putting a dent in my gazziolion dollars though. I just need a dang good fleecelike insulated jacket.

Don't get touchy PS. Go to Bass Pro and buy a Red Head.

Since you are a gazzillionaire, get one of those Gumby suits with the stubby legs and no arm holes.

I sure as heck ain't going to BP and buying a RedHead item. I don't care for that camouflage at all. MoCraig has one of those suits. I would like to hear his thoughts on that.

I have always been partial to Browning gear. Sleeping Indian gear would be my first choice if price was not an issue.

PS does this clothing have zippers or do you have to put it on over your head? Might have to buy the extra large size if if doesnt have zippers.. Image Image Image

Find an "Outlast" Insulated Jacket. NASA invented the stuff. Temp. regulation is the key.

2B: I believe I have that same jacket. Browning suppresscent I believe. I have the matching bibs. It is kindof bulky. I'm looking for something a little less bulky. Triton, I have 3 or 4 of those fleece pullovers and with a little tugging and tucking, they work just fine. It only takes me 10 minutes to get one on.

Day One Camo

This is the link of a product review I did.

Smitty I am sincere about this stuff. We may have to switch over to a different camo soon and have to rebuy everything we have. I will get exactly what I have from Day One again. I absolutely love it.

Why are you going to have to switch?
