Where can a guy hunt down here?
I moved here from Northern Minnesota, am fairly new to Missouri, and I love to duck hunt. I am looking for any insight as to where a guy can go.
I still go back for both Canadian and Minnesota duck openers, but am looking for somewhere in Missouri I can put my mud buddy to good use.
Love to hunt, and can not find anyone down here that duck hunts.
Also looking to help out with a local DU chapter in the St. Louis area. If anyone knows of a good contact, it would be greatly appreciated.

MNwalleyeGuy, I ain't tryin to be a prick when I say this... but I seriously doubt you get anybody to give you a specific location on the internet. Iffin someone posted something like that up, next time they went to their spot, they would have to wait in line to hunt it.
That being said, there are numerous CAs and public areas that offer a person a chance to kill a duck. You might want to start your search here...

You should be able to find some in your area.
Here's some DU info...

Good luck.

Join delta and make some friends. They will hook you up.

Is it Bandito or Walleye Bandito these days?

I take that life if I can, with regret as well as joy, and with the sure knowledge that nature’s ways of fang and claw or exposure and starvation are a far crueler fate than I bestow. – Fred Bear

Re: Where can a guy hunt down here?
Guys,
I am not trying to stir up problems. Just because I am a walleye angler, does not mean that is where my loyalty and interests lay. If you guys want, I will not post on here, and just sit back an read. Just thought I would like to talk with some guys that like to duck hunt as much as I do. Possibly learn something along the way.
I am not looking for any specific locations, just looking for general areas.
What are the rules with the CA's? Where I grew up hunting is it all public land, and we can hunt anywhere.
I have never dealt with Delta, as they did not have anything going on up in NE Minnesota where I am from. I would be interested.
As far as the Lake Stockton forum goes, yes I post on there as well, as I have received a lot of information over there as I did in the previous walleye forum.
Give me a chance.

Re: Where can a guy hunt down here?
Some of the current members of the Gateway Chapter of Delta are wanting to decrease their involvement because they've been at it several years, so now would be a good time if you want in.
I'll let you know when something is coming up. There should be a little action pretty soon, regarding reserving the hall for the dinner next year, dividing responsibilities, etc.
Have you already done dinner/auctions and stuff like that?

MNWalleyeGuy: You are welcome on this board any time. Now, the reason these guys probably can't give you an answer is because only a handful of them are trueblue duck killers. PS
Oh, and BTW, I wouldn't know the difference between a mallard and a bald eagle if each were perched on the hood of my truck.

I heard that they both taste like chicken. Any truth to that PS?
That's funny you don't look Druish.
