Pluck or Skin

I take that life if I can, with regret as well as joy, and with the sure knowledge that nature’s ways of fang and claw or exposure and starvation are a far crueler fate than I bestow. – Fred Bear

Usually skin, back in the day I would pluck a bird after dipping it in hot water.

Usually skin, just because it's easier. But I've got a hankerin' for some smoked wild turkey, so I may have to pluck one this fall.

I plucked the one I shot this weekend, because I wanted it smoked. It turned out damm fine. Had some leftovers, so I pulled it apart and last night took the meat, put in some diced green peppers, onions, and BBQ sauce and made sammiches. mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
