Bring me a boat !!!!!!

Post by Jig Man » December 31st, 2005, 1:25 pm

I really screwed up this time. I am in S. TX and left the boat at home. It has been between 75 & 80 every day. I have seen a lot of good looking water, especially Choke Canyon.

Sure do wish I had brought the old sled along.

You know the old saying, "never listen to the wife when it comes to taking your boat". Hope you are having a good time without your boat. How long are you going to be down there? I have CRS syndrome. Image

Right now we are in San Antonio. We leave here on Monday and are heading toward Brownsville, but don't plan to got that far. We will be turning around in about a month and starting back. We plan to be back home by mid Feb. if nothing goes wrong.

The boat is a definite for next year.

Jigman, you definately need a boat. Maybe you could just go to a dealership and "try one out" once in a while. I know a guy who did that with 3 different runabouts on Tablerock, and kept them for 30 days each. At the end of the summer he had "changed his mind" about buying.

I did scratch out 3 keepers on Stockton last Thursday. The water temp was 40F. Enjoy the sun!

Bullitt,

I had not thought of that option. When I was in the business, an employee accompanied all test drivers.

I would bet that those fish weren't still in 15" of water like the last time I bass fished there.

BTW: I have been getting some phone calls from MO telling me how good the Table Rock crappie fishing is getting. I am not a crappie fisherman but it is kind of making me home sick. If it weren't for the 80 degree days and 60 degree nights, I might just be tempted to head north.

My relatives tell me that the white bass congregate in the Frio River channel near Choke Canyon this time of year. may be worth a look....
