Hoedown grocery list

Post by RB » June 13th, 2006, 5:46 am

Would everyone post up what they plan to bring to the hoedown so we can have some idea of equipment needed and who will cook what. Also that we can get a good variety of critters for DMR to cook up for us. I am bringing some backstraps for the blackening pan and some fish if we need some. Swamp fox, are you going to bring the fryer so we can cross that off. What about bbq pits? or smokers?

I'll have a Weber, and a smoker, some beer, a buncha duck kabobs, more beer, maybe some smoked turkey salad, beer, a pork loin for the smoker, and............ more beer. Image

I could bring some crappie too if needed. Image

I'd say that's a fine idea. Image

Whatever you like, Roscoe. This is just to let folks know what others are bringing. Maybe up the odds of having a variety of critters. Image

Depending on the number of people in attendance, it might be good to have two fryers.

I'll be bringing a two ounce can of condensed Azz Whip. I don't figure it will take much more than that to do away with you buncha limp wrists. If I need more, I'll borrow some from TTTN's wife. I hear she beats him like a b1tch.

With all the donkey-grabbers that look to be attending this little shin-dig, I'm hoping someone has K-Y jelly on the list.

This is supposed to be a grocery list, Snake. I can't honestly say that I'm aware of it's culinary uses.

Are you saying that you're familiar with the taste of K-Y ? Do you recommend it's use on hard-fried burritos, boiled eggs, or popsicles ? Image

Edit : Sorry, Keri. I guess we were typing at the same time. I didn't mean to spoil your genuine post with my insults that were directed toward the Reptilian Wonder.

Bring what you like, but I think the firewood would be a welcome addition. Image

As far as groceries I'm planning on deer brats and frimps at least, and probably a tub of macaroni salad. Other items I happen to find in the freezer may be added.

I'll also load up some firewood...we're gonna need some to keep the pyro's busy so they don't start burnin' the camp. Image

There's no way that anyone will top the psycho - pyro that Kingfisher found at the boat ramp by the pavillion at the first annual Hoedown. Image

He invited the dude, and his wife and kid to the festivities. The dude felt that we needed 8' flames for hours. He was on a mission to burn every chunk of firewood we had. Image

That fella and his wife ate two slabs of ribs all on their own and started asking when the next slab was going on. I was happy to make it out of there with all my limbs still attached. Image
