Some of you should have broke skin today

It was 56 degrees in Ind. at 6 p.m. tonight. Had to run to Blue Springs and saw 6 bucks and probably 11 doe in a stretch of about 5 miles. They was movin...hittin Oaks in the middle of a pasture just munchin on acorns, some munchin on greenery and some just wandering.

I think they`re liking this cool weather. Saw 3 in the yard this morning, and had 7 cross the road in front of us, on the way to school at 8:30. Oh yeah...also saw two bachelor groups of 4, and 6 small bucks yesterday evening.

I saw a heck of a lot more deer on the 27th for some reason.

I was expecting it to be good last night, and I sat in a stand, but never had anything come within 90yds.

Yeah - I was expecting better things last night, too. I only saw 10 - no bucks. Not sure what the deal is. I was sure seein a lot more deer last year then I have this year - even early in the season. I have only seen one buck this year while hunting, and it was a little 4 pointer.

Bad news is that this cool weather is going to leave as quickly as it came. Looks like next week will be back in the 80s. But I'm gunna be out there regardless...
