Seeing any deer in this winter wonderland?

Post by Warmouth » January 22nd, 2007, 11:12 am

We saw a few on Sat morning 9-10am, eating up before the storm. I was just glad the ice didn't get 'em.

Dave, I think it's time you quit posting. You can't even post a topic correctly without slaughtering the english language.

I figure this would've been a great time to be hunting in the creek bottoms. The deer would be sliding down the hills & couldn't get back up. They'd be stacked up down there.

Saw one this morning. Looked like a big doe or should they have shed yet?

Saw about 50 on Saturday before and during the snow. That was on a mid mo ranch of about 3000 acres. Couple of nice bucks that still had their Image.

Some have, but I'd guess most are still carrying.

I haven't seen any deer, but I shot a Starling about two hours ago. Image

I saw a young deer on the way home. At first I thought it was a fawn, but then I remembered we are darn near into February so I then thought it to be a yearling. I am not at all sure what it is/was now with all of the jargon confusion going on?

Coming back from the farm Saturday evening saw one of the largest groups I've ever seen in our area. I counted over 30 in one field before I lost sight of them.
