A Problem?

Post by Triton X2 » November 6th, 2007, 11:50 am

Seems like I qualified for the Bassmasters Weekend Series Championship this year. Actually, I ended up 1 spot out, but one of the others couldnt make it, so I end up getting to go...Here is the problem.....It is this weekend and I am leaving on Friday to go to Clark's Hill Reservoir in South Carolina to fish. Didnt think I could turn down a chance to fish for $200,000. But, I sure hate to miss out on opening day of deer season, as this will be the first one I have missed in a lot of years....So everyone kill a big one, and when I get back kind of rub it in. I'm sure that 200K would take the sting out of missing opening morning. Good luck!

Triton, that is a great opportunity. You can always kill a goat later. With 200k you can buy a lot of good steaks.

Triton,

RB said it right. Point yer azz east, and give 'em helll. There's plenty of time to whack a bambi. Image

200k would be the gravy, but your invite is the potatoes. The simple fact of being involved is more than most fisherpeople will ever realize.

Have a safe journey. I wish you all the luck. Image

Triton: I was 20 feet up in a tree when that front blew through on Monday afternoon. Then, I was on the edge of a creek bluff so I was like 100 feet in the air in all that wind. Couple that with the Bell's and man I was not comfortable for about 5 straight hours. Didn't see chit either.

I was absolutely freaking terrified. I even had a safety harness on. I was scared.

A safety harness wouldn't do you a helluva lot of good if the whole fargin' tree went down. I was within 10 yards of being crunched by a falling tree while turkey hunting about 3 weeks ago. A long-since dead tree trunk fell on a day with sustained 35 mph winds when a gust blew through. I had considered sitting against that tree but was just off to the side on another tree.

Congrats Triton, good luck.

Rafe, I had a tree next to me fall on the 31st. Luckily it went the other way, but with nothing else to think about for the next 2 hrs, I just sat there being thankfull it didn't come at me.
