Donny Boy, I spin my arrow either on an arrow spinner, or usually by just putting the bh on and spinning it like a top point down on a table or flat surface. It takes 2 seconds. My honest opinion of the ZE rest is that it is the toughest, most reliable, and quietest rest on the market.
Ole S, my bet is that up to this point, I have a top ten buck killed in IL for the year.
Why would you spend countless hours tuning and not spin your bh's? It takes seconds to do. I do not shoot a bunch of heads to find the ones that fly. If it spins straight, I know it will fly. Even with mech's, that may fly if slightly crooked, why would you not want your head to be aligned perfectly? What is the point of having an arrow tuned so precisely that it flies perfectly straight only to have a not so straight point on the end? When I shot aluminums, I had very few arrow/bh combinations that didn't spin good. When I shot A/C/C's, I had many, and spent alot of time re-aligning inserts. (That was the reason I gave up on them, too much $ for too much hassle.) With carbons, I glue my own inserts in, making sure they spin true before the epoxy dries. Pull a head out, screw it on, spin it on the tail gate or my hand, and stick it in the quiver. It will kill something.
