Word at Stockton is that the Corps is going to leave it high to make more money on power generation this year.
If that is true, it's going to knock the crap out of the bass spawn this spring. They will start running the generators just as the bass go into their spawning mode.
It will show up in two or three years when the largemouth fishing gets non-existent. It might actually help the walleye spawn, though. The water will be up higher on the rip-rap giving them more surface than usual to lay their eggs. If they hatch out before the high water starts coming down, it could be a very good year class for Stockton walleyes.
