Wow, Bull Shoals is dropping fast. Less than 2.5 feet above power pool as of 4 am this morning. Going down about a foot a day.

You guys who are fishing Saturday may not find too many fish upstream, with the water draining that quickly...

So what's new about not finding any fish upstream? You're probably right, though.....2Bills will have an alternate plan of action. Not quite sure what that might be, but we will have an alternate plan of action. Thanks for the update. We'll give you guys an update of what it looks like when I get home tonight.

should be a good time to find some brush piles along the main channel and see if they'll eat a spoon or slick. Don't know if they're pulling Stockton or not but if they are it should help the spoon bite.

Why would that help the spoon bite? Just curious.

generally speaking in falling water the fish pull out to deeper water.

Just talked to a buddy of mine who stayed at Soutwinds Motel just south of Greenfield last night. He said the dock at Rourk Bluff access was only about 20 feet from the part of the ramp that is fairly level. Highest he's ever seen the lake.

Word at Stockton is that the Corps is going to leave it high to make more money on power generation this year.
If that is true, it's going to knock the crap out of the bass spawn this spring. They will start running the generators just as the bass go into their spawning mode.
It will show up in two or three years when the largemouth fishing gets non-existent. It might actually help the walleye spawn, though. The water will be up higher on the rip-rap giving them more surface than usual to lay their eggs. If they hatch out before the high water starts coming down, it could be a very good year class for Stockton walleyes.

Actually, if they do run it hard all year it will draw big hybrids up the Sac from Truman this spring. The flip side it is really hard to fish in that rolling current.
