I don't know beings you don't want a semi-auto. Those nylon 66's or a winchester model 190 are the best .22's that I've ever seen.

Guess you could buy one of these http://www.ruger-firearms.com/Firearms/FAProdView?model=7016&return=Y
They ain't a bad gun.

Dave,

This is the place to check out .22s.

They say good things about the CZ.

Thanks for the link. I think the 452 will do nicely. Image

I went to Cabela's Saturday and asked info on the 453 with single set trigger, pricing maily, and have not had a call back yet. Image

$310 for the 452 American seems like a decent price. From the link the 453's are another $140 or so, and I don't think it's worth it considering the accuracy of the 452's.

I bought a 452 about a week ago, $254.65 was the take it home price. Much to the lament of area squirrels, this thing is a tack driver. I was going to get a Remington 504, but for the accuracy and the price, there is no comparison to the 452.

I got it at my local gun shop (Indiana). Its a 452 KZM, the beech stocked rifle. The selling point for me was that some of the CZ rimfires come with plastic clips. This particular model comes with a metal one. My friend has the 452 American, and 5 shot groups from both rifles are essentially the same. The iron sights on mine have a range adjusment out to 200 meters, and they seem to be dead on. (I've only tried them out to 100 meters on the target range)

Oh, I put Weaver see through scope rings on it, and mounted a small 2.5 x fixed scope on it. So far its working out pretty well. I didn't have a problem giving up the checkering on the fore stock for a $50 lighter price tag.

I figured that was the case. Thanks for the info, glad your CZ is a solid performer.

I got the CZ 452 American. It's a super nice gun. I have only sighted it in, and not really shot groups, but if looks could kill, this thing is a murderin sumbitch. The trigger is great, and I can't wait to bust some tree rats, and actually go for groups with good ammo.

I shot some 3/8" groups at 30yds in gale force winds this past week. I used 22lr rem target, and 22lr rem subsonic. Both grouped very well.

This CZ looks better than any gun I own.
