I was also wondering why Craig didn't just jump on a HC bow and shoot 200grn arrows, if he is trying to shoot the fastest fps that he can put together.
Neither Craig nor I are worried about being the fastest...not to mention 350-390 doesn’t even come close to being the fastest. Yes fast adds flexibility to yardage estimation as LS stated above. However...now include your thoughts on energy that goes with that speed...with a 350gr arrow not a 200gr arrow.
390fps is a single pin to 50yds and 120 ft-lb’s. from a 350gr arrow. 400fps from a 200gr arrow is about 70 ft.lbs.
BTW...the BowTurbo is locked down. It doesn't slide. Similar to Bowtech, Mathews and HCA roller guard. However, when added to a bow not designed for a stationary cable slide it adds preload to the limbs when drawn by not allowing rearward travel of the cables...essentially reduces cable length, preloading as you draw. The concept has been around since the dawn of time...i.e. you can tie your cables in place by looping a shoe string around the riser...same thing...or use a hose clamp on the cable slide...anything...the Turbo has some design and finish qualities. Straight out of Mathews play book...take an old concept and make it better. Forgot to mention...roller guards eliminate cable oscillation thus makes the bow quieter.
